castronauts

 Castronauts Race to Mars

Castronauts Race to Mars, by Drew Brockington, describes the neck-and-neck race to mars. The main characters of this story are the cat astronauts of NASA or the united states of America and other countries. That they do not know they intend to go to mars so after a ceremony for their previous mission they are immediately sent to the NASA center and prepared to go to mars. Because the other groups were well on their way there. As they get closer 3 of the 4 ships collided the other ship is solely focused on making it to mars but everyone else is stranded in the middle of space. Then the other astronauts come back and save everyone but after they land they are rescued by a NASA robot flying a spacecraft home.

This book has good characters and how they are all different and have different interests. I also love space and comic books so this is in my favorite range of books. I also would recommend this book to everyone. This is a good book to read anywhere any time.

what was the great Chicago fire?

what was the great Chicago fire, by Janet B. Pascal, describes the events of the great Chicago fire and its casualties. First, we are told about the old-style town of Chicago and there new firefighters that were starting to exist around the country. Next, we are told that during the civil war whole groups of firefighters would join and fight after the war these firefighters would fight for areas to use as their zone to stop the fire. The cities and the country had to eventually zone the firefighters so they wouldn’t argue. Within two years a huge fire broke out and ended up burning down 4 blocks of Chicago after the fire most of the firefighters equipment was damaged and needed to be repaired but the next night a giant fire broke out again and ended up burning 90%of the town.

I thought this book was very detailed. I thought the step-by-step process to the firefighters we have today. this book jumped out to me because I go to Chicago all the time and it is so modern to read about old Chicago. is pretty awesome and it makes me want to go back.

The Twin Towers

What Were The Twin Towers by Jim o' Conner

What were The Twin towers a history book by Jim O'Connor describes how the buildings of the twin towers were created and their history with attacks. first, the buildings were built on march 1 1966 and after final construction, they were used for fine dining and retail to support the world, which was named the twin towers. after the opening, there were several stunts performed on the twin towers including its being claimed by a professional climber, who was later arrested by police. After the twin towers start-up, they were attacked by two men in a truck full of bombs. 6 lives were lost and 109 people were injured these people would later join the death and injury total from both attacks. The day the twin towers were attacked for the second time the attack was way worse this would later be known as 9/11 the day many lives were lost and the twin towers collapsed.

my opinion on this book was it was rich with history and if you look at anything else on the twin towers all you get is 9/11 which does not include the blueprints and the work that was put into building these towers and what they were used for not just 9/11.
