N.E.R.D.S

N.E.R.D.S

N.E.R.D.S  a realistic fiction and action by Michel Buckley describes the story of a kid named Jackson who hates nerds and makes fun of them to the point where he works with them to save the world. In the beginning, Jackson is seen outside the school with his friends pranking the nerds, as usual, every day. Then he starts to notice that they run out of class together during the day. So he decides to follow them and finds himself in a giant room below the school filled with scientists there he is trapped and upgraded but the team can't let him go so they add him to the team. During that time an evil scientist is trying to move all the continents back together like they were and it is the N.E.R.D.S's job to stop them. In the end, Jackson quits the team but quickly rejoins after finding out that the team has been trapped when he arrives he is captured too but escapes and promptly saves the group and stops the scientist saving the world.

I liked this book because it is filled with action, funny, and it really teaches the lesson of not judging a book by its cover. This book is filled with action it is always easy to dive right into and makes you feel like you are right there fighting with them. Second NERDS is very funny this is caused by the thought that this could never happen but there are also very settled jokes scattered throughout the book. Lastly, this book teaches the lesson of don't judge a book by its cover because Jackson is so focused on bullying the NERDS that he doesn't realize that they are a great help to the world. This book was awesome and was a great thing to read to pass the time during the summer because of the action, comedy, and last but not least the lesson it teaches.
