Ban This Book

  Ban This Book by Alan Gratz describes a girl who makes a difference in reading for her community. Amy Anne a student and a book lover always has her eyes set on one book in particular. But, one day when she went to the library, it was banned. So she wants to go to the meeting to get it unbanned but doesn’t speak up. Then the board bans more books and she starts to make a library of all the banned books so that the kids can still enjoy them making a secret code and everything. and as her library makes its mark among the students, it brings them together like a book club.

    this book was great and the main character Amy Anne has some interesting character traits. First, she is passive and under spoken all throughout she thinks to say things that could change the way people look at her but she always reframes just like at the board conference. Second, she is brave she did what she shouldn’t have done and did it not only for herself but for others which also makes he caring. Ban This Book was great and I recommend reading it if you love reading!
